I have been sailing on and off since the age of 7. I mostly hated it for several years, but now I'm one of those "ocean" people. I started sailing in the Santa Barbara Sea Shell Association then learned my racing skills from the Santa Barbara Youth Foundation, a program run by the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. At college I went on to sail on the Columbia University Sailing Team.
In my sailing career I've sailed US Sabots, FJs, 420s, 29ers, Laser Radials and many others.
